15 May 2014 I heard that leave taken on the account of preparation for ca exams, ca seminar, and ca training camps etc. are not counted as our leave. I just Want to know is it true or not if yes, with any special cases, Then Please let me know it.

15 May 2014 Yes it is true. But there is a limit prescribed by ICAI about it.

15 May 2014 all the leaves are counted...once it exceeds 1/6 of period served supplementary articleship kicks in. it doesnt matter if the leave is for exams etc.

what is not counted as leaves are:

1. period from start of exams till end of exam (only CA exams)

2. any GMCS/ITT etc courses

3. any ICAI seminar or any such seminar where you are sent by your principal.

4. training camps covered either under ICAI or under your principal's office programme.
