17 February 2011 sir....i m ipcc student n now m looking for articleship..one company offering me rs.5000 as a stipend and another firm rs.3500 so where should i join??? i believe that if i join in mid size firm then they put me in one field i.e audit only.......pls giv your valuable suggestion i m confused........

17 February 2011 I advise you to join in a mid sized firm rather than going to a big firm,
because in mid companies we can have scope for all types of work, but in big companies we will be restricted to a single unit like audit or taxation.
Your belief is not true , u will be engaged in a single field in big firms only.
I also advise u to not concentrate on the stipend u get.Stipend shoul not be the criteria for selection.
More the stipend more the work u have to do.
and u will not get time to attend clases.
