15 July 2013 can an article who has already taken leave for 133days before completion of his/her 2.5years of articleship and final attempt is eligible to appear for final attempt after 2.5yrs of her training??

As per Regulation 50 of the CA Regulations, 1988, a student will be eligible to appear in Final Exam, after completing of 30 months (2 Years and 6 months) of article ship.

You have not completed 30 months of article ship, so you are not eligible for final attempt.

15 July 2013 agreed with Ajay sir...if u mean 2.5 years as 2 years n 6 months than... as per ICAI guidelines u are entitled for 1/7 of the period served in case of 3 yrs its 156 days & in case of 2.5 yrs its 130 days u have exceeded the limit therefore not eligible...

16 July 2013 i had taken 133 leaves in my 2.5years of mah articleship.I dont want to delay my attempt by 6months jus becoz of 3days of excess leave.Please suggest me some solution
