Applicability of tds u/s 194c or 194j

16 December 2013 Company is paying monthly fixed amount to employee's relative as car hire charges and applying tds slab of Rs. 1,80,000 as per 194I and not Rs. 75,000 as per section 194C.

16 December 2013 yes sec 194-I is applicable as sec 194C is for works contract and sec 194J is for Payment for technical fees or royalty payment.
