Hi Expert,
An AMFI certified person can only engage in distribution of mutual funds, so what I wanted to know is if a person is CFPA(Certified Financial Planner)- can such person sell mutual funds?
Which certification should a student prefer to do AMFI or CFPA?

CFP-means Financial planner(Advisor in investment making) CFP can't sale securties only can give advise on securties...for mutual funds....AMFI qualification is must.
Student should go for CFP...because cfp certified programme in structured form.

One more question, have heard about 2 certifications - CFP and CFPA. CFP has 5 exams whereas CFPA has only one exam.
My question is....can a person become investment advisor in both the cases?
