if the meeting has been adjourned bcoz of quorum and in the adjourned meeting also the quorum was not present, then what will be the validity of the adjourned meeting?
Section 288 of the Companies Act, 1956 provides that if a meeting of the Board cannot be held for want of quorum, then unless the Articles otherwise provide, the meeting shall automatically be adjourned till the same day in the next week, at same place, or if that day is a public holiday, till the next succeeding day which is not a public holiday. In such case, it will not be considered any contravention of section 285 of the Act, if the Board meeting was called in compliance with the terms of section 285 and could not be held for want of quorum.

thanks sir, it means if the quorum in the adjourned meeting is not present, then the meeting is valid.
