26 August 2012 Hi to All,
I was working in Pune but currently I am outside India on company assignment for 1 yr. Before travelling abroad, I vacated my rented apartment in Pune.
Now I am filing return from Europe using digital certificate, so question is
Which address should I give in ITR form?
1. Pune friend's address
2. Home Town address (Madhya Pradesh)
3. Europe address (current location).
Note: My PAN card was issued in Pune.
Pls suggest

26 August 2012 1. you can mention your company's address.

Europe address not make any sense. home town address will not hold god since tax must have been deducted by your company when u were n india.

26 August 2012 Thanks Vikas, but my company is global, tax deduction was done by head office which is in Mumbai.
I heard that as per rule address should be of same city where PAN card is issued (or TAX officer assigned). So will friend's address be OK?

26 August 2012 Place of issuance of PAN has nothing to do with filing of return.

login to incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and check form 26AS. the address of the Tax deducted must be given there.
Also when you file your return online and when you enter your company address it will pick the concerned ITO Ward/ Range.
