i want to know about the additional depriciation on vehicle purchased after 1-1-09 wether it is to be taken at 50% or half rate 25% and also the regular 15% is to be taken in addition to above or it is not to be taken.

for AY 09-10 25% and then after 50% and regular 15% is not to be considered

The wordings in notification 37/2009 dated 21/4/2009 is " new commercial vehicles acquired on or after 1/1/09 and put to use before 1/10/2009..." That means 50% depreciation can be claimed in AY 2009-10 for such vehicles.
