Dear Experts, I have a query about actual Date of Payment of TDS.
I had Deposit Cheque for TDS in Karnataka Bank Ltd. on 01/11/2014, The Bank deducted our Account on 05/11/2014 and after receiving the Challan, I found that the Date is 08/11/2014.
Now, what is the Actual date of Payment of TDS ?
Will I have to pay interest on Late Payment of TDS as per "Date on Challan".

01. Date of receiving chalan by the Bank is to be regarded as the date of actual payment. (Unfortunately, the BANKs hesitate to give the date stamp of date of receiving chalan.) If you have the date stamp of 01/11/2014, put on the chalan by the bank, then you can take the date of actual payment as 01/11/2014.
02. Since in your case, your account is debited on 05/11/2014, you have paid it before due date.

Thanks Amol ji, but I have still one qery remains related to Bank that I had deposited TDS in "KARNATAKA BANK LTD." and they issued us Challan for "CORPORATION BANK" means Karnataka Bank is deposited TDS in Corporation Bank (Authorised Bank/Branch) on behalf of us. Now, in this case what is the Actual Date of Payment of TDS ?

your account is debited on 05/11/2014, so you have every right to claim the date as 05/11/2014
