Is it mandatory to show accrued interest income on NSC/KVP/FDR etc. in my salary income ?

Not mandatory, if accrued income not shown higher tax may be attracted at time maturity on entire interest earned. In case of FDR if TDS is deducted you have to show accrued interest mandatory.
