Accounting treatment for tds on sale of softwares

31 October 2013 My client is a trader of softwares. During the year the co. has sold softwares on which TDS has been deducted. Should this be shown on an accrual basis (i.e, when the invoice is generated) or should the TDS be shown when the debtors make the payments??
