21 April 2011 its a vry simple question but i m very much confused in it so plz help..
i want to knw about payment of income tax i.e. when to pay income tax, where to pay income tax,how to pay income tax through manual and electronic mode and if taxable income is more than advance tax paid than upto when can the rest amount be paid...

22 April 2011 When to pay Income Tax?
The assessee is required to pay advance tax in 3 installments for other than comapnies assessee else 4 installemnts. After end of previous year, the assessee can pay the amount of income tax after end of previous year alongwith applicable interest.

Where to Pay Income Tax & in which Mode it can be paid?

In case of company or other assessee whose accounts are audited U/s 44AB of income tax act, it is required to pay by filling challan no. 280 through online banking challan of specified banks. Like for payment of taxes is as follows:

In case of any other assessee, it can be paid by filling challan no. 280 and depositing in authorised banks manually.
