Is any benefit available for payments made on purchase of items from NGO like khadi gram udyog items, handicrafts etc...

No, benefits in Income Tax is available on such purchases. However maximum direct benefits can be enjoyed on purchases made around Gandhi-Jayanti (2nd October) when heavy discounts are offered on khadi & Gram Udyog items.
