As per Circular No.16/2012 dated July 6, 2012, NBFC companies are exempted from XBRL filing.

However, such circular also says XBRL filing is mandatory for all listed company.

As per my understanding, NBFC company is not required to file their Balance Sheet in XBRL format because banking company and insurance company are not using such mode of filing.
