Waot for some time if you can or your turnover is below 2000000/- because till now GST is expected to implement from July.
If u registered now for TIN then u have to migrate fully from VAT to TIN

According to your state VAT requirement, if you have crossed the basic limit, you must apply for VAT number. e.g. If you are from Gujarat and if you have crossed a turnover limit of Rs. 500000, you better apply for VAT as you are compulsorily required to obtain the VAT number. If you have not crossed, you better wait now and apply for GST number later.
