15 August 2007 Whether Foreign Salary Income earned by NRI required to be disclosed in AY 2007-08 Annual Return? If yes then which Return and under what section?

In FY 2006-07, 1st 3 months i.e. April to June 2006 earned Indian salary Income and balance 9 months out of india with Foreign company. Whether Salary Income earned outside India (balance 9 months) by NRI required to be disclosed in the Annual Return (AY 2007-08)

If yes then which form and which section?

16 August 2007 You have to residential status and then you have to think about taxability.

You have not given full details.

Plz go thru Sec.4-6 of IT Act.

18 August 2007 I think you haven't read the question carefully. I clearly asked the question for NRI which stands for Non Resident Indian.

04 March 2014 I have a similar query for AY 2013-14.

Assessee is Non-Resident and having Income from Salary from a country with which India has DTAA.

However, as per DTAA the Salary income can only be taxed in the country of Source and hence it is not-taxable in India.

How to disclose the same in Income Tax Return?
