If i file my IT return through e filing
and if i get a notice UNDER SECTION 142(1) from income tax deparment Banglore "SO HOW SHOULD I REPLY TO THEM"

You will have file a reply to CPC Bangalore in case intimtaion u/s 143(1) is received and it needs to be rectified.

It is not clear why notice u/s 142(1) is received from CPC Banglore. What is the subject matter of the notice. In my opinion, jurisdiction of CPC commissioner is only in the case return is filed digitally and if return is filed why notice u/s 142(1) ? pl. provide details

That is why reply has been given as per section 143(1) and not 142(1) as 142 notice is received from local ward office.

i have given this reply to know the real situation. if mr. anonymous has mentioned notice u/s 142(1), he himself can give the facts whether notice is u/s 143(1) or 142(1). Everybody would like to know whether notice u/s 142 are being issued by CPC. if it is intimation u/s 143(1) then OK.
