i have filed service tax Return after due date whether we have to pay fine and penalty also. penalty levy by department up to 10000 Rs.

Penalty for Delay in filing Service Tax Return
# Delay of first 15 days then penalty will be Rs. 500
# Delay of 15 to 30 days then penalty will be Rs. 1000
# Delay is more than 30 days then penalty will be Rs 1000+100 Rs. per day beyond 30 days, Subject to maximum penalty can be Rs. 20000/-

but i heard of that
service tax department in addition to above penalty also levy upto 10000 Rs, it is correct or incorrect. please reply .

Late filing fee as per the above slab given by Gupta Ji has to be paid voluntarily.

Seems Incorrect, because if late fee is paid as per rule 7C, penalty u/s 77 can't be imposed .
