Dear Expert,
My friend has opened recently Vodafone Franchisee under Shops & Establishment Act. But our confusion is whether to Sales Tax or Service tax. Because he not purchasing any thing from Vodafone but they are supplying sim cards @ free of cost. He is just giving more no Vodafone connections to vodafone means he is acting as a agent thats it. He gets only commission.
Pls help me,

if it is purely as a service then only service tax is applicable not VAT or sales tax.
