08 August 2017 While buying / selling shares, broker is charging following :
1) Brokerage
2) Transaction Charge
3) Stamp Duty /Others Charges
4) GST
5) STT

Out of these which expanses can be claimed as cost of acquisition and expanses for selling.

09 August 2017 But I have read at some articles which says STT can not be claimed as expanse either while buying or selling. Any comments on this.

10 September 2017 the net amount which you receive after selling the shares is to be taken as the value of consideration.
