Dear Experts
Can any one plz guide me, if the professor of reputed coaching classes get Rs 18lacs as professional fees on contract basis also TDS being deducted under sec 194J
then
is he liable to pay & collect service tax
& under which category of service is he liable to get register 7 pay to government??????????

As professional service is taxable service in s.t.
As his professional receipt exceed rs 10 lakh
above amount rs 8 lakh Eligible to collect s.t.and same paid to treasury
but for this registration with service tax department is necessary .
If not collect seperately then calculate s.t. As 8 Lakh /110.3 x 10.3 and paid to gov.
And his professional receipt exceed 15 lakh so his liable to tax audit u/s 44 ab
