28 December 2011 Dear All,

Last month i lost duly signed one blank cheque. i have submitted stop payment letter in bank for that particular cheque. now i want to know of validity of stop payment letter. do i need to submit stop payment letter after few months again ?

Please guide..

28 December 2011 Once a stop payment request has been filed with the bank, no further action is required. You are not required to submit another application for the SAME cheque number.

You can just verify with the bank whether the cheque was presented for payment.
