Hi,
Ours is a landscaping co.We did a work contrct in UP for which our purchases includes fresh plant, grass, earth etc.from delhi.I want to know whether we have to pay UPVAT for our purchases although these are 0% items?.Our contractee had deducted WCT @4.12 % and issue us wct cerificate thereon.
Please help...

Mr Author,
Your contractee should not deduct anywct tax as you are dealing in 0% taxable goods.The contractee does it in a routine way,but, you have to inform him about your nil tax liability and that any tax deduction will be against rules and has to be refunded. Before submitting a return the payment voucher can be rectified and you can be paid the 4.12% deduction also.
