08 August 2011 Hi,

I have been intimated by IT Bangalore under section 143 (1) to pay tax of Rs.......... I am drawing Pension from Defence as well drawing salary. I do not have the PIN/TAN for the Defence. My second employee does cut the TDS every year and re-pays back after the FY. Appreciate if you could guide me to get the refunds or how do I go ahead about.

08 August 2011 Dear Mr Shirish,

If you have claimed TDS while filing your return and your employer has not reported the details of TDS deducted from your salary/pension, there are possibilities that you will get demand notice. If it is the case, you should contact to your employer and request them to rectify eTDS return by intimating TDS deductions from your salary to Income tax department.
