02 August 2025 For transfer on medical grounds, here’s what generally applies:

1. **Is a government hospital certificate mandatory?**

* Usually, the authorities or employers prefer a **certificate from a government hospital** for credibility and standardization.
* However, in many cases, a **certificate from a reputed private hospital** can also be accepted, especially if the principal (or competent authority) has allowed the transfer based on that.
* It’s best to **confirm with your specific organization or department’s transfer rules**, as policies may differ.

2. **Is a medical certificate from another state’s government hospital valid?**

* Yes, a valid medical certificate from a **government hospital of any state** is generally acceptable, provided it clearly states the medical condition and necessity for transfer.
* The principal’s approval is key here.

**In short:**

* Govt hospital certificates carry more weight but private hospital certificates may be accepted depending on your authority.
* Certificates from govt hospitals in other states are valid.
* Confirm with your principal or HR/transfer authority for their specific acceptance criteria.

If you want, I can help you draft a letter or application for transfer on medical grounds with appropriate details!
