Transfer funds from nro to nre account

13 December 2012 Hi,
Is transfer funds from NRO to NRE account permissible. If yes what are the conditions apply.I heard that transfer from NRE to NRO possible but NRO to NRE not.

13 December 2012 Transfer of funds from NRO to NRE account is permitted within the overall ceiling of USD one million or equivalent per financial year (April - March), subject to payment of taxes, as applicable. You need to submit Form 15CA (online application form) and 15CB (Chartered Accountant Application) to your Branch for transferring funds.
