Sir,
I have paid rs. 2 lakh for contract work to partnership firm after deducting tds @1%.
But demand of rs. 20000 raised that u have to deduct 2% tds in case of partnership firm.
I know that in case of payment to partnership firm tds should be deducted @2%.
Now how to pay rs. 20000, how to revise return and what to write in amount paid column in Rpu ?

Pay the remaining amount with interest. Download consolidated fvu from TRACES website and revise your return by including the challan. Modify the earlier deductee details and show amount paid credited as Rs 100000/- then TDS deducted will match. Then make another deductee entry for Rs 100000/- and show deduction of Rs 20000/- which has been deposited now. After revising submit the revised return.
