16 October 2014 If i revise a Tds return and the Tds amount of a deductee changes in it and the return has already been filled by the deductee claiming benefit shown in original return what will happen in such case.
Eg: If A deducted 1000 rs as B's Tds and showed and deposited the same in his Tds return and B changed 1000 rs. in his IT return but afterwards A revised his Tds return and changed the amount to 900 and carried forward the remaining 100 to next quarter what will happen in this case as there is a loss of revenue to govt

17 October 2014 Hi,

In that case you will be required to issue form 16A to deductee.

There is no loss to Govt, since TDS is deposited, you are just changing period.

Thanks
