11 July 2009 Dear,

I have submitted my Company TDS returns for F Y 2008-2009.

While filing the return total deposit amount is Rs. 50000 but i showed Rs. 40000/- in return.

Again i filed revised return and corrected the mistake but on website status of my return is shown as rejected due to total amount in the last return (Original) will not be updated.

Please help on above matter urgently.

12 July 2009 If you are refering to deposit of tds then if you have paid Rs. 50000 and shown in the return rs. 40000 then it will show a mismatch in the challan details and a revised return is needed for rectifying the same.
Your revised return cannot be rejected. What steps you have taken are correct and this should solve you problem.

Or else contact the NSDL people for further assisstance.
