Tds on whitewashing and repair charges

Weather tds has to be deducted on the whitewashing and repair charges amounting to Rs.2 lacs done by tenant on behalf on landlord.I paid to my tenant 1.60 lacs after deducting the aforesaid amount as my annual rent.what would be the entry

04 February 2012 When Individual paying rent to someone no need to deduct TDS u/s.194 I. But your query you are not mentioned clearly to whom you are paying. please elaborate the query

This is in relation to an Individual paying rent to a Company and what if it is in relation to a Company paying rent to another company.treat both as individual cases. Looking forward for your early response.

If individual paying rent to anyone whether to individual or company- No need to deduct TDS

Case 2

If Company paying to company, then need to deduct TDS on behalf of payee and debit to them
