Tds on rent

I am working as br manager of SBI. I am staying in flat for which my Bank is paying rent of Rd.15950/- per month.
Whether tds.is applicable?
Flat owner has given 15h/15g for not to deduct tax.. please advice me in this regard.Thanks in advance..

No TDS is not applicable, since rent is not for business purpose. On Residence TDS is not applicable.

TDS required to be deducted u/s 194I @ 10%. For Rent 15G/15H will not be considered.
