Tds on purchase of water bottel

We purchasing Water bottles of ( 25 Liters jar ) for office Use. Amount to say that bill is around Rs. 11000/- per month.
is that transaction attract TDS 194C ( Contract)

Please guide me.

02 September 2011 Normally the purchase does not comes under TDS, but it depends on the accounting of your water bottles in P/L account, if the same is not reflected in Purchase or stores consumed, but put in "expenditure" then TDS provisions may apply.

we are accounting this as Office maintenance in our Books (under P&L). is any Case study for Reference..

02 September 2011 if u want not to deduct TDS, then make a "general stores purchase for office use" here u can account such items, including stationary,

if its posted in indirect expenses direct, without reflecting any sign of purchase entry then TDS can not be avoided,
