Tds notice for short paymetnt and late payment

greeting for the day!

WE received TDS notice U/S 200A, for short payment and late payment, and specific amt mentioned in the notice but this amt is different from the amt of Default TDS list which is download form NSDL!

Please clear issue of amt payable!!
in what basis we should pay the tds?

03 March 2013 After paying the demand as per your calculations you may settle the issue with the department.

04 March 2013 Short Payment amount and Interest till date of deposit of TDS tax may be same in Both Default generated from NSDL and Demand Notice. But Interest on short payment and Interest Till generation of notice may surly be varied. Because the date of generation of Default in NSDL and Demand notice are varied. So we have to act accordingly to the Demand notice received. So it is better that paying challan and make a correction ETDS accordingly and send reply to the ITO concerned.
