TDS last date payment of 31st March

18 November 2010 We are running school under one prop. firm.
We have recd. a income tax notice under section 201(1)/206C(7) for demand of interest on non depositing TDS dt.31.03.2008 on 7.04.2008.
Relaxation in deposit of TDS dt.31st March 2008 to be deposit up to 31st May,2008 is not available in case of prop. firm.
Please advise.

18 November 2010 Relaxation of deposit upto 31st may is available to all.

But remember if TDS deducted on provision only then due date is 31st may, if deducted on payment due date is 7th april.

"Relaxation in deposit of TDS dt.31st March 2008 to be deposit up to 31st May,2008 is not available in case of prop. firm." is wrong.
