14 September 2009 TDS on Transporter Contractor is NIL w.e.f. 01/10/2009, in case of PAN. Is there any prescribed format for intimating PAN to income tax department. If yes then please send me or tell me source from which it can be obtained.

14 September 2009 The provision pointed by you is applicable only in case of transport contractor and not all contracts.

The PAN has to be furnished by the contractor to the contractee. The contractee is required to furnish particulars to the IT department in the prescribed format. The format is yet to be prescribed.
