01 May 2017 if at the starting of financial year person provide rent deed ( for example on 01.04.17 he provide rent deed from 01.04.17 to 31.03.18 ) then should we deduct tds from his salary

example
basic= 115200
da= 81840
hra= 78816
incentives = 62400
total earning= 338256
pf = 13824
rent deed provide for the year = 96000

kindly help

01 May 2017 na you need not to deduct rent, although u r getting provisional receipts for start of the year... approx in january or february you can ask for original receipts

01 May 2017 he is not original receipts he is giving a rent deed in which rent @ 8000 per month is mention .

so kindly tell me should i deduct tds from his salary

01 May 2017 nah no need to deduct tds... also say him that he will give you quarterly rent receipts ( as a proof of payment of rent)

but sir he said landlord dosnt provide any receipt monthly or quarterly there is only rent deed as a proof or rent paid by him

what should i do i that case

01 May 2017 just download from rent and say him to get it signed off and provide you because it is must ...
