11 June 2009 What is a last date for issuing FORM 16A (TDS certificate)? How can i claim it if party refuses or delays to issue the same?

11 June 2009 During the year within fourteen days from the date of payment of income - tax and if issued during the year and if income is credited at the year end then within one week from the end of two months from the financial year.
Eg: 1. If tax deposited on 7th March, 2009 then by 21st March, 2009.
2. If income credited on 31st March, 2009 and tax to be deposited by 31st May, 2009 then certificate to be issued by 07th June, 2009.

11 June 2009 You can file your return by 31st July, 2009. Keep asking them for the TDS certificate till they dont give it to u. They must be busy in filing the quarterly return to be filed before 15th June, 2009. Probably after that they will issue the certificate.

11 June 2009 If i am deducting the tax, then what is the last date for me to issue the certificate to concerned party?
