10 April 2009 Suppose, a client of a tax consultant don’t have internet banking facilites.
In this situation , can a consultant pay TDS from his account on behalf of his client by using internet banking facilites?
And then he adjusts his account by taking client cheque for the TDS amount .

10 April 2009 The CBDT has clarified that Tax can be paid from any account. Not necessarily from the account of the assessee himself.

10 April 2009 Yes.
The method is allowable.
