17 July 2012 can anyone plz tell me,
i opened up a vodafone store where i m going to sell only vodafone sim cards and mobile phones which are provided by vodafone under some scheme.
m confused regarding classification of taxability of this service.

17 July 2012 Distributor of sim cards are exempted from payment of service tax. Please see the mega negative notification No.25/2012 dt 20.06.12.

Sl No.29. Services by the following persons in respective capacities -

a selling agent or a distributor of SIM cards or recharge coupon vouchers;

19 July 2012 sir can u plz tell me, do i need to get myself regisered under service tax since my service is in negative list?
or need to follow any other compliances regarding service tax?

05 September 2012 Since your output services are in the negative list, there is no need for registration under service tax as long as you do only these services.
