24 June 2009 Vide entry 97 of schedule V11 of the Constitution of India the Central Government levies service tax on 106 services through Chapter V of the Finance act,1994 in which services of a lawyer done in his professional capacity is not so far included. Hence such services are out of the net of service tax.
