08 August 2011 A DEDUCTOR HAS RECEIVED A TAX DEDUCTION CERTIFIACTE FOR MAKING TDS AT LOWER RATE FROM THE VENDOR.

IS IT REQUIRED BY THE EDUCTOR UNDER THE INCOME TAX ACT TO GET THE SAID CERTIFICATE VERIFIED BY THE I T DEPARTMENT ?

08 August 2011 Dear Subrata,

Lower deduction of tax certificate has to be issued by Jurisdictional income tax office. After receiving the same, vendor should send a copy to respective deductor, It is not necessary to get verified this certificate again by IT Department. Deductor should keep it in this file for future reference.
