Tax deduction at source

09 February 2008 I want to know whether TDS under the Income tax Act, 1961 is required to be deducted on service tax ? Recently a circular is issued on the subject but I am not in a position to lay my hands on it.

09 February 2008 TDS has to be on gross amount of the consideration, which will obviously include Service tax.
