TAX AUDIT OR SELF ASSESSMENT

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies when a tax audit is required for a proprietorship concern. Generally, for turnovers up to 10 crore rupees, a tax audit under section 44AB is not mandatory if cash transactions constitute 5% or less of the total receipts and payments. If cash dealings exceed this threshold, a tax audit becomes compulsory.
