Why does this happen?
GSTR-2B data is not generated or updated for that tax period on the GST portal.
Temporary technical or backend delay in system syncing between GSTR-2B and GSTR-3B.
Possibly due to mismatch or non-filing of GSTR-1 by your suppliers.
How to resolve this?
Step 1: Go to IMS Dashboard (Input Management System) on the GST Portal.
IMS dashboard allows you to manually compute or generate GSTR-2B data for your return period.
Verify your inward supplies and ensure supplier returns (GSTR-1) are filed correctly.
Step 2: Manually compute GSTR-2B data for your current period.
Use the download/compute option in IMS to generate the missing data.
Check for any mismatch or missing invoices.
Step 3: After manual computation and verification,
Proceed with filling GSTR-3B return by entering the inward supplies details manually in Table 3.1(d) and Table 4.
Save and submit the return.
Additional Tips:
Communicate with your suppliers to ensure timely filing of GSTR-1.
Regularly download GSTR-2B to reconcile ITC.
If the error persists beyond few days, contact GST helpdesk or technical support for system-related issues.
