Surrender of st-3 by written

We have Service tax registration under st-2 we have closed the form st-2 with written surrender letter with original of ST-2 in month April 2011 to superintendent of service tax.

We filled nil return from time to time when the registration issued us till closing of the service tax.

We have copy of service tax surrender letter with signature of the concerned superintendent. We we are search our service tax number its showing active.

Now the service tax is online we didn't have online facility.

Please suggest us how to solve the problem.

There could be error from service tax side, you need not bothered since you hav eacknowledgement of submission if surrender certificate.

You may write an email to ST dept. for your satisfaction.

I didn't have surrender certificate i have only the letter given to them with their signature only is it enough for us to show if any required officer.

Because we close in 2011 April at that time they is no online to surrender. so we surrender by written and we hand over the original st 2 certificate.

Now they send a user name and password we didn't access it. If any problem with the online

If you have concern write a mail & send them acknowledgement of surrennder letter.

Before 2 yrs there was no form for cancellation of certificate.

I have cancelled many suh registration.
