I have purchased a flat and sold it in 2 years and I have reinvested the same sales consideration in purchasing new flat in another city .
My querry is should I be charged with capital gain.
Is any section 54 exemption available to me

Profit on sale is liable to tax. No exemption for reinvestment in flat.
