A co situated in west bengal(transferor) has been amalgamated with the co situated in mumbai(mah)(transferee)in such a case where the stamp duty is liveible and where it is to be paid and at what rate.

In Mumbai as per the stamp act applicable to the state of Maharashtra, since stamp duty is a state subject.
