ST return rejected.

26 May 2016 Dear expert, I filed ST3 on 20/04/2016 ,but it was rejected by Department. Now I am going to rectify the error and refiling the return. what is the last date for uploading rectified return.whether I have to pay any penalty ? Please ,provide any other remedies you known for this situation.

26 May 2016 You have to pay the penalty. It is not accepted so new return will be file as a original return. For original return last date was 29-04-2016. Try file it before 29-05-2016. so Penalty will be Rs.1000/- for 30 days after that it will be Rs.1000/- plus Rs.100/- per day, but not more than Rs.20000/-.
