set-off to be claimed on a bill

23 May 2008 i have a querry regarding VAT, can a person claim a set-off on the bill of the earlier quarter(i.e. the quarter for which the VAT return has already been submitted) on which he has not taken a set-off due to error in any subsequent quarters?

There is no context as set off in VAT.

Any changes needed has to be done by way of revision of the return.

A return can be revised within 3months from the end of the quarter.
