Dear Sir,
We are arranging Sports Event on Behalf of our Religion spread out India wide.We are expecting Expenditure to the tune of Rs.40 Lacs for the Event.We wish to know the Service Tax Implication of the same.

Only specified bodies are exempted from service tax hence service tax applicable to you.

We will not collect any amount from the teams or any bodies for playing in the event.So How to arrive Tax Value of Service.It should be paid as Service Recipient or Service Provider, if so under which head of service.

Service providers will be charging service tax on service rendered to you on different services.

So Can i Claim Refund of the Service Tax Paid as a Service receipient.

No you can't claim any refund only cenvat credit can be taken if you are paying any out put tax on this sports event.
